What to look for: - SPF 30 or higher - Water resistant - Broad spectrum coverage which mean it protects you from UVA & UVB rays
- Apply sunscreen generously before going outdoors.
- It takes approximately 15 min for your skin to absorb the sunscreen and protect you
- If you wait in the sun without applying sunscreen your skin is unprotected and it can burn
- Use enough sunscreen
- First of all you need around 30 gms (1 ounce) of sunscreen to fully protect all expose part of your body.
- Add the sunscreen the amount you can hold in your palm and apply on your body properly
- Rub the sunscreen thoroughly into your skin
- Apply sunscreen to all bare skin
- Remember your neck, face, ears, tops of your feet and legs
- For hard to reach areas like your back ask the someone to help you or use the spray sunscreen
- If you have thinning hair, either apply sunscreen to your scalp or wear wide rimed hat
- To protect your lip apply a lip balm with SPF at least 15.
- You need to reapply sunscreen every two hours to remain protected or immediately after being in water or excessively sweating
